International Conference on Biomechanics in Sports

ICBS 2015, the 33rd International Conference on Biomechanics in Sports, will be hosted for the first time in France by the Université de Poitiers from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July 2015. This conference continues the long history in the biomechanics of sports started 130 year ago in France by Prof. Etienne-Jules Marey at the Institut de Physiologie.

General topics of the conference are to cover sports biomechanics in competitive and recreational levels. Researches focus on technological innovation or the use of new devices applied to sports and physical activity that benefits on performance or health are sorely solicited to submit a paper. The scientific program include 8 Keynotes, 2 Young Blood Keynotes, 9 Applied Sessions, 4 Pre-Conference Workshops as well as thematic oral and poster sessions. The social program will feature the traditional Opening Ceremony and Banquet and also include Wine & Cheese Night, Students Night and Tour. In addition, optional tours and activities will be proposed in and around Poitiers for accompanying persons and kids.

ICBS2015Registration Fee (ISBS members: €390, ISBS student members; €250) will include conference package, social events, lunch, etc. Student participation will be greatly encouraged by an ambitious incentive program including Low Congress Fees, Student Accommodations, Students Travel Grants, Awards, Student Mentoring Program and Students Night.
